Video Settings

Fellow Nerds,

I'm trying to determine what in my video settings can remain on that won't affect gameplay/FPS. Is there anything I can leave on? Should i just turn everything off and go with the lowest settings possible? At that point is it even worth playing if everything is just one big blur?

There have been a few threads about this, but from while ago. If someone could dig them up that would probably be the best..

I'm no pro nerd or anything, but it depends on your system. If your monitor refresh rate is only 60 hz, then I don't really think there's a point in pushing for 200 FPS.

I usually turn off most lighting effects though. Things like blur, particle detail, distortion, reflections, etc can also go because DB barely uses them.
Just whatever you do, don't touch resolution, because that'll start to make everything look like a blob of pixels.

Just play around with your settings until your FPS is sitting around 60 or 144 or whatever your refresh rate is.
