Toxic people cant be punished?

I've just played another ranked and here's what happened:
one guy began to flame really hard, then started teamkilling. Not once, not twice - did it all game long. He just lost some exp, nothing more. Players could be reported only for cheating or offensive name - what about verbal abuse in chat and teamkilling?

Wish I had a record of this match...

Even if you report him in the end you still lose your rank and ofc no one will ban him
I have met a guy trolling for 4 times in row one day in my team thx to balancing

Well, it does make sense. Naming the person here isn't exactly going to do anything. And false claims could make people think negatively of someone who never actually did anything.

Isn't the game suppose to do something more if a player is punished for teamkilling the whole match ? Like kick him and give a huge penalty ?

Guess this kind of people don't care after all. All we have to do is to live with and let go :(

Report him in one of the available sections and explain what they did.

Yeah... he's a troll. Literally running into the fire/airstrike on the EV he can punish for TK.

I've seen a few trolls consistently trolling. It's odd to me because here in the U.S., it can take anywhere from 10-30 minutes to actually get into a ranked match. The people that I see trolling do it on a regular basis or for hours on end. They generally kill themselves or just run in and die like bots while saying stupid @$!#. I'm really surprised anyone has the time for that stuff. It's a shame there's no vote kick option anymore. Those kind of people don't even deserve ranked points!

Yes. Like this intentional-TK type of people are exactly the ones you can still EASILY kikc off from Ranked but people still for whatever reason have issues doing so.

Keep the punishing (/p in chat after a TK, game even gives you a prompt when its possible) them and after something like 6 theres automatic kick vote initiated. That fails? Keep punishing, they get automatic direct kick off from the server, receive abandon penalty, get no points whatsoever, are out of the ranked Q from spewing their toxic idiocy for at least half a hour (more if they've been kicked off from or abandoned multiple matches already within the last week or so)

I seriously dont understand why people keep whining about this exactly when its exactly the thing game even gives us tools to fight against. There's even chat-window prompt for it.

    Seriously people. Use it.

AFKs and TKers are the only 2 types that still can be kicked out of Ranked. No idea why the "manual" votekick was disabled, bad move all the way, but just gotta live with that stupid decision I guess.

Quick question: What does /f do?

Does it revert the -XP for the accidental TK, or is it as useless as nipples on a cuirass?

I think that if you forgive, the game doesn't count it for the kick threshold.

So it's not a dick move to simply ignore it

Kinda miss that good old W:ET feeling where was friendly fire by default and i dont remember any big problems with teamkilling. Sure sometimes you wiped out whole team with airstrike but who cares.

I bet there wasnt this pressure with stupid rankings. Ppl just played for fun. Nowadays ppl care too much about to not get deranked, another reason to avoid these tryhards and ranked in general.

Well, gaming scene has gotten much wider nowadays and you do have all kinds of people playing who wouldn't had even known how to hold a mouse "back in the day". Or people who still called monitor the "PC" instead of youknow, the actual thing  Nowadays however you get quite literally everyone from toddlers to grandparents at their death door succumbed into world of gaming. It has its cons and pros.

One of the cons being developers feel forced to add these kind of silly, unnecessary "leeways" (lack of Friendly Fire by default for example) even into games where they should not be a thing in the first place. Like DB. Game rules differ so much between the casual pub experience and ranked experience its not even funny.

OW as an example has very little rule-changes between their Quick-play (casual) and competitive (ranked) modes. For everything "weird" and "out of place" there is Arcade- modes, clearly separated from the 2 aforementioned, for a reason. It keeps things simple and lets people actually get a proper hang of the games necessary mechanics while playing more lax casual modes.

No, its not a dick move to ignore it really. TK only gives as much minus XP as how much damage was done to teammate, which is honestly very negletable. Even /p command only gives extra 300xp loss, which is absolutely nothing, thats not the point of the system. Don't know for sure if /f reverts the xp loss, but thats nothing anyway. Forgiving is quite useless to be honest, ignoring the /p prompt is more than enough as forgive. I doubt forgiving does anything like Ptiloui mentioned (ie. 1 forgive "removing" 1 punish from the person's count) but sure we can't know.
