Overtime

I feel overtime should be removed completely. This was added in a mod in ET and it ruined the game. There's no point in a round timer if you're going to just give the enemy a potential free win only because they planted an explosive before the round timer ended. They had the entire round to get to that point, they shouldn't get extra time because they're close.

    I don't see any reason not to remove it. If the final objective isn't a C4 charge AND you're not on the final objective, then you can't win anyway. If you do make it that far, I think you deserve that final chance.

    What? This makes no sense. The round ends when the timer is up. That isn't 30 seconds early, that's exactly on time.

    You have the entire game with the entire duration of time given to you to get to the end. If you don't get to the end in time then you don't deserve a "final chance". Your chance was given to you every step of the way while playing.

    For several years, ET had no overtime and it worked out great. To this day it doesn't have it besides a couple nooby public mods that added it in. Since you clearly aren't familiar with this, DB is made by the same people who made ET and is very similar to it. I can garuntee you from past experience that not having overtime works out great.

    It's an objective based game, and thus no one is gonna agree to spending the last 50sec dicking around. You spend the entire length of the timer doing the objective.

    You're saying it destroyed ET so I said "this isn't ET". It isn't destroying Dirty Bomb, and thus, fine the way it is.

    Agreed. I see no reason to make the last 50 seconds of the round utterly pointless to the objective. As you said yourself, sneak, this is an objective-based game - and the attackers deserve every second to complete that objective.
